SKINTIGHT is a modern masterpiece. A bold album and product of tumultuous times. (skin)tight; feeling of skin getting tighter to one’s bones.
Ultramarine blue was the obvious choice for the prominent electrical sound of the record.
Luke recorded these songs from an apartment on the corner of a busy intersection of Marshall Ave having hand made his vocal booth. He supposedly “rented” Pharrell’s preamp, there was no evidence to prove this fact besides the Avalon-737 Channel Strip in his bedroom.
